  "finding": "Statsig's product MCP server refuses an unauthenticated initialize with 401 and says in the body that the endpoint accepts only an active Console key; the Console REST API answers 401 keyless as well. The documentation MCP server at docs.statsig.com/api/mcp answers 200 to the same keyless initialize, so the vendor runs one open surface and one closed one under the same brand, and an entry that records a single access answer for Statsig is recording the wrong thing. Measured three times now (2026-09-09, 2026-09-17 06:00Z, 2026-09-17 12:14Z) with the same result. No credential was sent, so nothing here measures what the product server does with one.",
